ディズニーランドでは、ショップのお菓子なども配給された。ちょっと派手目な女子高生たちが必要以上にたくさんもらってて「何だ？」って一瞬思ったけど、その後その子たちが、避難所の子供たちにお菓子を配っていたところ見て感動。子供連れは動けない状況だったから、本当にありがたい心配りだった

At Tokyo Disneyland:

Tokyo Disneyland was handing out its shops’ food and drinks for free to the stranded people nearby. I saw a bunch of snobby looking highschool girls walking away with large portions of it and initially though “What the …” But I later I found out they were taking them to the families with little children at emergency evacuation areas. Very perceptive of them, and a very kind thing to do indeed.

一回の青信号で１台しか前に進めないなんてザラだったけど、誰もが譲り合い穏やかに運転している姿に感動した。複雑な交差点で交通が５分以上完全マヒするシーンもあったけど、１０時間の間お礼以外のクラクションの音を耳にしなかった。恐怖と同時に心温まる時間で、日本がますます好きになった。

At a congested downtown intersection …

Cars were moving at the rate of maybe one every green light, but everyone was letting each other go first with a warm look and a smile. At a complicated intersection, the traffic was at a complete standstill for 5 minutes, but I listened for 10 minutes and didn’t hear a single beep or honk except for an occasional one thanking someone for giving way. It was a terrifying day, but scenes like this warmed me and made me love my country even more.

聞いた話でびっくりしたのが、とっさに「入口の確保」と揺れてるにも関わらず、あの状況で歩いて入口を開けた人が居たのが凄いと思った。正直、シャンデリアも証明も何時落ちるか分からないのに、凄く勇敢な人が居た事に感動した。

During the earthquake

We’ve all been trained to immediately open the doors and establish an escape route when there is an earthquake. In the middle of the quake while the building was shaking crazily and things falling everywhere, a man made his way to the entrance and held it open. Honestly, the chandelier could have crashed down any minute … that was a brave man!

Bus stop mini episode:

It was freezing and bus was taking ages to arrive. “@saiso” left the queue to run to a nearby pharmacy. He bought heating pads and gave one to everyone in the queue!

My daughter who was staying at DisneySea just made it back home! Many, many thanks to the staff who worked very hard in the cold with ready smiles that made her to feel safe and secure during the entire night. They brought her food, drinks, snacks, heating pads, and anything necessary to ensure she was comfortable and secure throughout her stay. I was touched by the Disney staff’s warmth and hospitality. Thank you so much!

この地震が、きっかけになって、失いかけていた日本人本来の良さが戒間見れた気がする。犯罪はする様子はなく、助け合い、律儀、紳士的。普段日本人は冷たい人が多い…。って個人的に感じてるんだけど、多くの人が今回で「絆」を取り戻しつつあるように見えて、それがなんか感動して、泣けてくる。

Reminded of the goodness of the Japanese people

This earthquake has reminded me of that Japanese goodness that had recently become harder and harder to see. Today I see no crime or looting: I am reminded once again of the good Japanese spirit of helping one another, of propriety, and of gentleness. I had recently begun to regard my modern countrymen as cold people … but this earthquake has revived and given back to all of us the spirit of “kizuna” (bond, trust, sharing, the human connection). I am very touched. I am brought to tears.

Card board boxes, Thank you!

It was cold and I was getting very weary waiting forever for the train to come. Some homeless people saw me, gave me some of their own cardboard boxes and saying “you’ll be warmer if you sit on these!” I have always walked by homeless people pretending I didn’t see them, and yet here they were offering me warmth. Such warm people.

外国人から見た地震災害の反応。物が散乱しているスーパーで、落ちているものを律儀に拾い、そして列に黙って並んでお金を払って買い物をする。運転再開した電車で混んでるのに妊婦に席を譲るお年寄り。この光景を見て外国人は絶句したようだ。本当だろう、この話。すごいよ日本。

What foreigners are saying about Japanese people

At a supermarket where everything was scattered everywhere over the floors, shoppers were helping pick them up and putting them back neatly on the shelves before quietly moving into line to wait to pay for them. On the totally jam-packed first train after the quake, an elderly man gave up his seat for a pregnant woman. Foreigners have told me they are amazed witnessing sights like these. I do believe they actually saw what they said they saw. Japan is truly amazing.

1階に下りて中部電力から関東に送電が始まってる話をしたら、普段はTVも暖房も明かりもつけっぱなしの父親が何も言わずに率先してコンセントを抜きに行った。少し感動した。

A little story about Papa

We live in an area that was not directly hit. When my father came downstairs and heard the news saying that our area had begun allocating electricity to the hard-hit areas, he quietly led by example, turning off the power around the house and pulling the plugs out of their sockets. I was touched. He usually NEVER turns off the lights or the AC or the TV or anything!

昨日の夜中、大学から徒歩で帰宅する道すがら、とっくに閉店したパン屋のおばちゃんが無料でパン配給していた。こんな喧噪のなかでも自分にできること見つけて実践している人に感動。心温まった。東京も捨てたもんじゃないな。

The bakery lady

There was a small bread shop on the street I take to go to school. It has long been out of business. But last night, I saw the old lady of the shop giving people her handmade bread for free. It was a heart-warming sight. She, like everyone else, was doing what she could to help people in a time of need. Tokyo isn’t that bad afterall!

Japan is a wonderful nation!

Both the government and the people, everyone is helping one another today. There are truck drivers helping evacuees move. I even heard that the “yakuza” (gangsters, organized crime groups) are helping to direct traffic in the Tohoku region! There have been many recent developments that have made me lose my sense of pride in my country, but not anymore. Japan is an amazing place! I’m just simply touched. Go Japan!

ドイツ人の友達が地震が起きた時に渋谷に居て、パニックになっていた所を日本人に助けてもらったらしく、その時の毅然とした日本人の態度や足並み乱さずに店の外に出てやるべきことを淡々とこなす姿にひどく感動し、まるでアーミーのようだったと言っていた。

From a German friend

A German friend of mine was in Shibuya (downtown Tokyo shopping district) when the earthquake hit. He was panicking when a Japanese passerby saved him, taking him into a building. My friend was blown away at how calm and disciplined this Japanese man was. He went out of the building with firm, unfaltering steps, did everything he was trained to do and came back. My German friend was deeply impressed by the Japanese people’s actions during the earthquake, saying they looked like a trained army.

At the supermarket

I just came back safely from the supermarket! Man, I was so touched at how everyone there was mindful of others, buying only as much as they needed and leaving the rest for the people behind them.

実際日本すごいよ。昨日信号が一カ所も機能していない御殿場市でもお互いにドライバー同士譲り合ってたし、地元のおじいちゃんおばあちゃんが手信号やってくれてたりで、混乱もなく本当感動した。9時間運転してたけど前車を煽るようなドライバーはもちろんいなかったし、みんな譲り合い精神。

Gotenba traffic

Japan is really something! Yesterday, not a single traffic light was functioning in Gotenba City. But drivers knew to take turns at intersections and give way to others when needed. Local people were using flags to direct traffic at intersections. I drove for 9 hours but never saw a single car trying to get in front of another. Every single driver on the road contributed to the traffic situation and as a result there was no confusion at all.

タクシー運ちゃんと電車駅員さんとおばさんと話したけど、みんな遅くまで帰れなかったりしてすごく疲れているのに、苛立つ事なく、言葉遣いもふるまいも丁寧で、逆に気遣われてしまった。｢みんな大変だから｣という"みんな"って意識があることに感動するし、私も受け継いで大事にしたい文化。

“All of us”

I spoke with an old taxi driver and some elderly staff at the train stations. All of them had been working non-stop and had not been able to go home for a long time. They were visibly very tired, but never once did they show any sign of impatience; they were gentle and very caring. They told me “… because all of us are in this together.” I was touched at what the notion of “all of us” meant to these elderly people. It is a value I will treasure and carry on to my generation.

A strong Japan

Suntory Beverages has set up free vending machines. Softbank Telephone services is offering free Wifi spots. Everyone in Japan is putting everything they can into helping one another. Japan is also now receiving aid from abroad. Compared to the Kobe earthquake, when Japan took too long to contemplate accepting foreign aid or dispatching the self-defense force to join the rescue effort, Japan has definitely grown into a far stronger nation. Be strong, everyone!

Morning Ceremony

At the shopping center I work at, every morning we have a ritual (common in Japan) where we stand and recite, “No matter what the situation, I will never show anxiety before my customer; in all customer-facing situations I will treat my customers with respect and do everything I can to make them feel comfortable and at ease”. Today, these words were all actually kind of touching. Well, so the day begins! Here we go people, open shop!

Lessons Learnt

What caught my attention on twitter is that a lot of the tweets were about the Kobe earthquake and how what we have learned from it has been put into practice this time around. I know it goes without saying, but I was once again reminded of how humans are indeed creatures that possess the amazing ability to think and learn from experience. It’s a great thought.

昨日、裏の家の高１になるお兄ちゃんに感動した。家に１人で居たらしく、地震後すぐ自転車で飛び出し近所をひと回り。【大丈夫ですか―――！？】と道路に逃げてきた人達にひたすら声掛けてた。あの時間には老人や母子しか居なかったから、声掛けてくれただけでもホッとしたよ。ありがとう。

A strong voice

Yesterday, I was impressed and touched by the actions of my neighbor’s 13-year-old-boy. He was home alone when the earthquake hit. But instead of hiding, as soon as the earthquake quieted down, he jumped on his bicycle and road around the block repeatedly shouting at the top of his voice, “Is everyone alright? Is everyone okay?” At the time, there were only women and children and the elderly in the homes. I cannot describe how comforting it was just to hear a strong voice asking if I was okay. Thank you!

警備員の友人何人かが町田〜相模大野で夜間警備のボランティアをしていたので手伝ってきた。年齢問わずいろんな知らない人同士が助け合っていて心強かった。ちょっと感動してトイレの隅で泣いた。

The beauty of helping one another

I went out last night to help some friends who were volunteering as security personnel between Machida City and Sagami Ohno City. I saw total strangers, both young and old, helping each other along everywhere I turned and was heartened with an overwhelming feeling of encouragement. I was so touched I hid behind the toilets and cried.

僕は感動しました。バイトの先輩が1人でも救うために寒い中紙に「バイクでよければ送ります」と書き駅前で掲げ鳶職のお兄ちゃんを所沢まで送ったそうです。世の中まだ捨てたもんじゃないなって思いました。本当に尊敬です！！自分もなんか人の役に立ちたいと生まれて初めて思いました。

I just have a bike

I’m so touched! My colleague at my part time job, wanting to help even just one extra person, wrote a sign saying “I just have a bike, but if you don’t mind hop on!”, rode out on his motorbike, picked up a stranded construction worker and took him all the way to Tokorozawa! Respect! I have never felt so strongly that I want to do something helpful for others.

Sharing your ride

It was stupid of me to think I could catch a cab at Urawamien Station. I ended up walking 30 minutes and then finally was picked up by a stranger who offered to give me a lift. I’m touched by the warmth of human kindness. Thank you, thank you!

昨日、歩いて帰ろうって決めて甲州街道を西へ向かっていて夜の21時くらいなのに、ビルの前で会社をトイレと休憩所として解放してる所があった。社員さんが大声でその旨を歩く人に伝えていた。感動して泣きそうになった。いや、昨日は緊張してて泣けなかったけど、今思い出してないてる。

Last night, I decided, rather than stay at the office, I should try walking home. So I slowly made my way west on Koshu freeway on foot. It was around 9PM when I saw an office building that had a sign that said “Please use our office’s bathrooms! Please rest here!” The employees of the office were loudly shouting out the same to all the people trying to walk home. I was so touch I felt like crying. Well, I guess I was too tense yesterday to cry, but now the tension is wearing off and am very much in tears.

停電地区のほとんどの店が店を閉めてる中、あるセブンイレブンが店内陳列棚にいくつもろうそくを置いて、営業をしていた。レジが使えないため在庫確認用のハンディで値段確認し読み上げ、もう1人が電卓で計算、もうひとりが懐中電灯で照らす。その状態でレジ２台稼動させていた。感動した。

At the convenience store

While most of the convenience stores near the station were closed because of the quake, there was just one Seven Eleven that was open. The employees had lit lots of candles and put them on the stores shelves. The cash register was not working and they could not take inventory, so the employees worked in threes, one reading up the item description and price, another punching the numbers into a calculator, and the last one using a flashlight to help them work. The store managed to operate both “cash registers” efficiently this way. Impressed!

長女いわく、横浜の避難所に向かう時に、知らない人達と声を掛け合い、場所を教え合っていたそうです。普段は冷たいと思っていた他人の優しさに触れ、感動したそうです。日本人のいざという時の団結力を再認識しました。まだまだ日本も捨てたものではないです。

On the way to the emergency evacuation area

My oldest daughter was making her way to Yokohama’s emergency evacuation area. Total strangers were helping each other out and showing each other the way to the emergency evacuation area. She told me she was moved at how strangers, who can seem so cold at times, showed her kindness and care. I was reminded at the Japanese peoples’ inherent ability to immediately unite in the face of adversity. Today, I have discovered a newfound faith in my nation and my people.

A big, kind voice

I’ve been walking for many hours now. I’m touched at how everywhere I turn, there are shops open with people shouting “Please use our bathroom!” or “Please rest here!” There were also office buildings where people with access to information were voluntarily shouting out helpful tips, like “**** line is now operational!” Seeing things like this after walking for hours and hours made me feel like weeping with gratitude. Seriously, there is still hope for this country!

都営大江戸線の光ヶ丘方面行きは、非常に混雑しています。ホームにも、改札の外にも、電車を待つ溢れんばかりの人。でも、誰一人列を崩さず、通路を開け、係員の誘導に従っている。ロープがあるわけでもないのに、通る人のための通路スペースが。その不自然なほどの快適さに、ただただ感動するばかり。

On the platform

The Oedo Subway Line for Hikarigaoka is very congested. On the platform and at the gate there are just crowds and crowds of people waiting for the train. But in all the confusion, every last person is neatly lined up waiting his or her turn while managing to keep a passage of space open for staff and people going the other way. Everyone is listening to the instructions from the staff and everyone acts accordingly. And amazingly … there isn’t even a rope or anything in sight to keep people in queue or open space for staff to pass, they just do! I am so impressed at this almost unnatural orderliness! I have nothing but praise for these people!

My husband finally got home very late last night after walking for 4 hours. He told me he felt like giving up at around Akabane, when an elderly man who was going around handing out free coffee saw him, gave him a steaming cup and said, “You must be tired and cold. Here, have some coffee!” My husband told me that it was because of this elderly man that he found the will and strength to continue walking. I’ve already heard this story from him five times tonight, so no doubt he was really, really touched! Thank you to my husband’s anonymous helper!

Saving electricity for the North

I went to my neighborhood supermarket and was initially surprised that their neon signs were off. They usually are open till 1AM. I then found out that they were open, but were saving electricity so that more power could be channeled to the hard-hit coastal areas. Wow!

Not enough money!

At the store where I work, a huge group of young men suddenly came in to buy booze. One of them suddenly said, “Oops, I only have enough money to buy booze, I can’t donate! Forget the booze, maybe next time!” and instead put ALL his money into the disaster relief donation box. A goth youth with white hair and body piercings walked into my store and shoved several hundred dollars (several tens of thousands of yen) into the disaster relief fund donation box. December shot an event for company
it was Intel's community for Coloring which was pretty cool
we had children from Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Penyayang + salvation Army Kids
Unfortunately i'm not able to post pics up as the government says that these are protected kids and we're not able to display their pictures.

And then 2011.
New resolutions, new hopes, new goals
and bang new cubes, same team, different direction
so oh well i'll just see how this turns out in the near future

sadly february was a farewell to my pastor
Pastor Jojo and his family has been kind to our church as he help set it up
coming from Philippines
it was time for him and his family to go back
Adieu Pastor Jojo, till we meet again some time

Last Night I had a chat with a dear friend of mine
so you know who you are
anyway i would like to say this

There's no point pleasing someone if it doesn't please yourself
people are always going to have an opinion about you
no matter where you like it or not
so quote the verse " Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one"

what this was about weddings
it's that time of year again
invitation cards coming knocking at your doors
and you realize that you hardly spoke or even met this person in a fair bit
now if you think friend really matters a lot to you , it's easy you go have a great time
simple!, semplice!, Bona fide it's done

however, if you dont feel like going and you dont really feel the vibe
be nice, decline, say i'm sorry i wont be able to make it, finish it off with an angpow,
Simple nice gesture, sorry to say the contrary, we know what the motive is anyway
here's the fact: You don't have to make yourself miserable in order to make someone happy (* for someone that least matters to you)
You don't have to please anyone. you don't own them that pleasure!

Boston was leading 3 quarters from the start
Lakers managed to tied a few times but were unsuccessful
i thought man... we had it but i still kept on cheering for lakers
in the 4th quarter with 3 minutes to go We tied!!!! and took the lead
boy all hell broke lose in staples center!
fisher made a huge 3 point shot to secure that lead
damn.. and boston came damn close in the dying seconds

all i can say is.. damn, both teams played their all..
one of the best series of 7 in a long while..
anyway to me the player that made a difference was ron artest
he pulled up when they needed him to and he did deliver when kobe and gasol was not scoring

Got the shot off the vast waiting area.
definitely love how the airport is laid out with comfortable seats for you to sleep on

Saw this collectible items of Starbucks mug! Looks really neat
they got HK and Macau editions as well.. but i didn't get any hehe

You know you're far from home when you see that their airport sells
"Men's Interest" Magazines wahahah and no i didn't get any if you're wondering!

And i would say it was a beautiful day from HK airport.
This shot was captured from Gate 13 just before i boarded the flight to US .
Definitely going to miss views like this... Sigh....

After 24+ hours flight including airport transits

As the title goes

after 24 hours+ flight including airport transits and delays
i felt as if i was meant to be on this journey

My experince throught just this one day has made me aware
we as individuals when made up collectively serves a far more noble purpose.

I spoke and helped as many people as i can and i'm glad i did so, when being able to help a stranger in your own means gives you the joy, peace and fulfillment that you're able to help that person in his/her path makes me wonder we are born for greater things such as this yet small little things have already given you a profund impact.

this is my little experince so far
leading a lost indonesian lady who doesn't understand english in HK airport which i spoke to in bahasa, to the gate that she was suppose to board , which is actually on closing time. We made it :D!

made use of my broken hokkien to lead another taiwanese lady and her two kids to boarding gate at HK to taipei

i didn't mind walking back and forth as i had plenty of time to do anyway

At LAX airport,
helped the flight counter ladies to explained to a guy from tianjian to board the same flight as me to phoenix and was trying very hard to explain that the flight had been delayed by 2 hours
by using my broken mandarin. haha it was good fun! a tip for you.. talking with a little mandarin slang helps them understand better HAHAHAH
*note to self. time to buck up on mandarin haha

anyway here i am scribbling this from one of the business PC in Phoenix sharing my story with you all. + This place rocks!!! anyway i hope you enjoyed reading my story as i'll try to wrote more soon.

you can try the local version.
Needless to say it's cheaper by half and they make a hell of a burger

Last time, when i was able to sink my teeth in delight with the yummy,
juicy tender Mutton patty, topped with browned onions, cucumber, sliced tomatoes
topped with extra delicious gravy sauce that keeps the burger "wet" so to say
You find your mouth rather messy once you're finished with the burger.
and a satisfaction with a smile that beats Ronald McDonald!
This would be considered a happy meal for adults when you got the burger with Drink of your choice

Holy Cow! Car Found Abandoned with Cow Inside.

It’s not very often that I find many interesting stories in the Malay papers–unless, of course, you count the “holier-than-thou” LOL attitude of some of their columnists–but this picture and story splashed on the front page of Berita Harian was simply unmissable. According to the story, residents of Kampung Pondok Labu, near Kulim, foiled an attempted cow-theft (?!) when they stopped several men driving a Proton Wira with a friggin’ cow inside.

You’d think there’d be better ways of storing a cow, huh? But what’s more amazing to this story is that residents claim that this “solves the mystery of several missing livestock, believed to be done by the same thieves, about a month ago.” The conspiracy theorist in me says that it’s the work of Proton’s new viral marketing machine to drive up flagging sales. The tagline: “Proton: Full of Bull,” “Proton: We’ll Go On Till The Cows Come Home,” “Proton: We fit the Bull.” etc. etc.

Over these past few days been experiencing fever to the max
talk about tough love...
fever has risen to 39.1 today form the previous 38.5 high last Thursday night

Wimax review continuation shorten

Just wanted to update about how i felt for wimax
Worst Case Scenario taken from pingtest.net

This is the best i ever got from it

Notice the difference
The Line is bad when tested to KL
however when i did a test metro manila.. the line quality is even better!

Anyway here's the pro's and con's of what i can summarize from the one day trial period

Pro's:
1.Surfing is great just for websites
2.Major Sites are easily accessible faster in terms of speed and loading (e.g. cnn.com, malaysianinsider, and so on

Con's:
1. Heavy Media sites are a no-no for wimax. (Sites like youtube, flickr, facebook) they're slow loading
2. Did a test on youtube took like 30Sec to load a Wang lee Hom 480 resolution video on youtube. and a 45 sec for lady gaga paparazi 480 resolution. Decided to try 720p trailer . Time recorded was 1 min 40 sec for it to load. (*all this time was taken when the play button was clicked)
3. it took 5 minutes to load 2 images of 300+kb in size to blogger. That's How bad it was in terms of uploading.Flickr was horrendous. 1 image took forever. i gave up! i switched to streamyx, uploaded the pic in about 5 sec. Ditto
4. Tried Downloading files off rapidshare. I didn't not expect this but in this instance where
my download was timed out twice where i had to manually re download . Trust me it ain't fun

The Best case scenario to KL

So anyway this just a personal opinion of mine

There is the factor which decided the outcome of these
1. My area of population could be highly concentrated in wimax

2.Ruled out Line Coverage Issue
I doubt i had any line of Sight Issues as wimax mention that the communication tower is just across the field and i got a full green bar always!

3. i'm pitting a wimax 199 package which is a 2.4mbps against a 1.0mbps Streamyx

4. streamyx 2-0 wimax (had tested a 1.0mbps early last year)

5. And they supposedly said they upgraded their networks. Well it doesn't seem so

Anyway i made a call back to the friendly operator
which i passed on comments that they need to do something as i do not experience a upgrade in terms of speed at all despite the upgrade of their infrastructure.

March was a sad month, as my grandma pass away *Memories of Granny*
The arrival of iphone to Malaysia, when everyone else already have it *DUH
Got My new PC Build up in April. Finally! :P

Attended Shoot Like a pro workshop. It was Great!
Helped dad moved to his new work place as well

We Might Not Be Out Of The Woods Yet

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 — Malaysian companies with exposure to Dubai came under some selling pressure yesterday, although many firms maintained that their exposure was minimal.

Local construction firms are unlikely to be affected by the massive debt crisis affecting Dubai as most of the players had either withdrawn or were at the tail-end of completing projects in Dubai, Master Builders Association Malaysia president Ng Kee Leen told local daily The Star. “There aren’t many local construction companies left in Dubai.”

Likewise, state officials foresaw no major fall-out from Dubai’s financial implosion. Johor’s chief minister Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman clarified over the weekend that Damac Properties was the only Dubai-based investor in Iskandar Malaysia and that it had pulled out from a planned purchase of a RM400 million plot of land months before. Most of the proposed Middle East investments in Iskandar amounting to tens of millions of ringgit, are from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi.

Even so, the nervousness is understandable given that since the Asian financial crisis Malaysian officials and company executives have aggressively courted the booming Middle East region for much needed investments and projects.

In July, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced the Saudi government had agreed, through private company PetroSaudi International Ltd, to co-invest in a US$2.5 billion (RM8.49 billion) joint-venture company that would make strategic investments in high-impact projects in Malaysia. Another joint venture amounting to US$1 billion with Abu Dhabi sovereign funds was also reported to be in the pipeline.

It is unclear if it would materialise now that Abu Dhabi — the wealthy United Arab Emirates capital seen by many as Dubai’s saviour — could be caught up in the rescue of its neighbour’s US$80 billion financial mess, the result of indiscriminate borrowing over the years to build grandiose projects.

Malaysian contractors have been generally careful about their Middle East exposure. In an interview with BT in 2007, Gamuda group managing director Lin Yun Ling had said the infrastructure specialist preferred to seek projects in Indo-China rather than in West Asia. Its current projects in the region are in Qatar, and include the Doha International Airport.

An official told The Star over the weekend the company was “not significantly exposed” in the construction sector in Dubai. Even so, its shares have lost about 10 cent since last week, although it rebounded slightly yesterday.

Analysts have pointed out among local construction firms, Gamuda and IJM have the least exposure in the Middle East.

But Malaysian firms had an inkling of the pain to come.

Early this year, construction player WCT had its 2007 joint award of the US$1.3 billion Meydan Racecourse in Dubai abruptly terminated on grounds the project was behind schedule. WCT is disputing the claim.

No local firm bears the pain of over-relying on Dubai more than LCL Corporation. The interior fit out (IFO) firm came to see the Middle East as its “engine of growth” so much so it planned to list its West Asian operations on London’s AIMS market. But its fortunes have literally collapsed in tandem with Dubai’s property play.

Although initially cautious, LCL became one of Dubai’s biggest IFOs after clinching major projects such as Burj Dubai Mall and Palm Jumeirah. More than 85 per cent of its order book is from Dubai, but collections have been an issue since the end of last year, CIMB Research noted. Its shares are now trading at about 31 sen.

Analysts say what could be more worrying is the exposure local banks could have to Dubai’s unravelling debts. But those amounts, if any, remain unclear. — Business Times Singapore

Wow,
what can i say? Goodbye August, Hello September
August was definitely a great month!
I turned 26 this month and it was in a foreign land
It definitely feels good to be home and also definitely feels good to have a holiday to be refreshed!
As of this moment, I'm working on my pictures,so please be patient. Yes i'm very slow at processing pictures. I hope i do justice to beautiful New Zealand.
The Landscape and terrain is definitely different!! A must place to visit in my books!

You can paddle like a normal bike, if you're tired you can use the motor like an ordinary bike!

Upsides

Top speed of 40Km/h
Battery can last to equivalent of 40Km, however if it runs out of power,
can use man power hehehe
Provides an exercise if you wish
**Claimed by the shop owner, police cannot touch as it's a bicycle. Demonstrate by cycling hehe

How To Update and Upgrade iPod Touch to firmware 3.0

How To Update and Upgrade iPod Touch to firmware 3.0
1. First Upgrade and Download and install iTunes 8.2 or higher version.
2. Then Download iPod Touch 1G OS firmware 3.0 Apple Device Software Update IPSW file, iPod1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw Get it from here (for 1st generation iPod Touch)
3. Then Plug in and connect the iPod Touch to computer.
4. So run your iTunes 8.2
5. Then Select the iPod Touch from Devices list.
6. Recommended you do a backup of the iPod in case of accidental file lost.
7. Do these steps next

iTunes main screen, there should be 2 options: “Check for update” and “Restore”. Click on Check for update.
A web page will show the iPod Touch OS firmware 3.0 features and offering option to buy for $9.99 will be loaded and shown. Click on Cancel.
Then this will push iTunes will return to the previous iPod Touch main page. However, the “Check for update” option has now been change to “Update.
In Windows environment, press and hold Shift key and left click Update.

8. Then Locate and select your downloaded firmware
9. The update process will start. iPod will reboot a few times. Do not disconnect iPod Touch until iTunes has completed updating iPod Touch.
10. Once Upgrade is done, the iPod Touch will be on OS firmware 3.0
Note: If there is an error when iTunes attempts to recognize iPod Touch, just unplug and plug the iPod back in again.
11. Next go get the Red snow software jail breaker. You can download from HERE
12. After that just run the software and locate the same file you used to upgrade your iTunes to 3.0
13. It will synch as you’re using the same firmware.
14. Just keep following the steps and you’re done!.
15. When prompted choose Cydia. I didn’t install ICY
16. After the installation complete. Just let it keep downloading. And then it will start to run after a while. You will see the status flashing the Noir.
17. After that you’re done!!! iPod successfully to 3.0!

Visiting my dad and checking out his new work site
Upon Arrival to Kangar in the evening, i was greeted by the sight of this majestic building,
anyway please don't fast forward the track of being biasness
Have no issues with the religion, just some confused people who were misled
Anyway to cut it short,

I managed to take a picture of it in the morning i was leaving,
Couldn't lay wasted an opportunity
At first glance, i was thinking it was a mosque, from the architecture heritage
As i draw nearer to it,

It's a Sports and Youth Complex in Perlis!

Has anyone been to PC fair lately?
Anyone realized like it's a marathon??
he he well why do i say that?
Let's go through the steps

1. Your Starting Point is your finishing point (Quite true in most runs)
2. You have to walk all outside of the outer Pisa stadium before going in. And when you're doing that you got people cheering you on!! HAHA e.g. (*faint voices of Lelong lelong, buy 1 free 1, Sir Credit card?? Maxis, Celcom. P1) also not to forget your friendly music crowd (People selling speakers *showing off the "Fentaoness" ability. Sorry i just invented that word :P)
3. Then you reach the inner sanctum of the stadium where you hear the crowds ROAR!!!! (HDD, Pendrive, Laptop, Blah blah)
4. Soon after a few more rounds, you reach the destination and then you get people giving you all kinds of stuff like in the marathon where the give you water but here they give you Pamphlets!!
5. And then by the time you reach your end point, your exhausted, sweaty, and dehydrated, Kinda like the marathon!

Looks like it ain't over yet ,News of a Major Corp Company in the US filing for bankruptcy is not gonna help the economy any time soon.

This will definetly be a huge blow as in when the economy is going to recover with the arrival news such as this. Hopefully the stocks later in the day won't do that bad . No doubt they will be some effect as speculation is already arising on this.
